It is an ancient pearl of Aleksandrov, the second largest, after the beauty and richness of the Kremlin in Moscow. The Kremlin was built by order of Basil III, the father of Ivan the Terrible in the 16th century. The whole territory of the Kremlin is surrounded by a high stone wall with towers, built in the late 17th century. The architectural ensemble is a unique medieval palace complex, created by Italian and Moscow weavers. In the Kremlin there is a museum "Alexandrovskaya Sloboda", and revived Svyato-Uspensky female Monastery. - Dichkovskoe Lake.
The Lake is located within Aleksandrov and is a natural body of water, as well as water natural monument. The Lake is of glacial origin, it is fed by underground and rain waters. It has an area of 20.5 hectares, depth in the middle reaches 15 meters, and the width of the buffer zone-1 kilometre, its age is approximately 30 million years. The Lake is very picturesque, especially its magnificent east slope where pine forest grows and there are steep cliffs. Today it is a popular place for swimming and for a pleasant stay. - Literary and Art Museum of Marina and Anastasia Tsvetaevykh.
The Museum was founded in june 1991 by judges of their poetry. The museum recreates the atmosphere of those years, when Marina Tsvetaeva was alive and lived in Aleksandrov. In addition to Tsvetaeva other literary personalities are exhibited there: Alexander Solzhenitsyn, Anatoly Marchenko, and foreign classics. The Museum has extensive Chamber Music Hall, which annually hosts various exhibitions, festivals and poetry evenings. - Museum of the hand-made stone VNIISIMS.
The tradition of collecting varieties of grown crystals in 1964 marked the beginning of the creation of the Museum in VNIISIMS, including unique and with disabilities. Among the collection of synthetic crystals and products and collections of natural gemstones and rocks is presented. The exposition tells about the methods of synthesis of crystals for use in areas of high technology and in jewelry production. The Museum is unique: there are items that can't be seen anywhere else in the world, because the technologies of their cultivation only VNIISIMS has. Monument to soldiers of Aleksandrov killed during the Great Patriotic War, was installed in 1978. Composition was made in the form of two fleeing soldiers in the attack. The monument for a long time had been unnamed, and still doesnt’t have official name . At the foot of the monument there is an eternal flame.
